Annie Knight, a 26-year-old from Australia, has set herself an ambitious goal for 2024, aiming to connect with 600 people by the end of the year. Known for her outgoing nature and lively personality, Annie has been open about her unique social experiment, having previously interacted with over 300 people in 2023.
Her goal for 2024 is to increase that number to 600, and she’s already on track to reach it, with over 400 connections made at the time of writing. However, despite needing to meet a large number of people to fulfill her challenge, Annie is quite selective about the individuals she chooses to interact with.
In a recent interview on The Edge Breakfast, Annie was asked how she manages to find so many willing participants to join her challenge, particularly since some of her interactions are featured on her online content platforms, like OnlyFans.
“I’ve connected with over 400 people so far, so I have around 200 more to go,” she explained. “I’ve been on dating apps and meeting people naturally, but it’s become more challenging lately.”
To streamline the process, Annie has even created an application form for those interested in participating, which she posted on her Instagram story. “I don’t know why I didn’t think of this sooner,” she laughed.
Although some might assume Annie is open to anyone applying, she emphasized that she’s still quite discerning about who she selects. “I have certain standards that each person has to meet,” she said.
One of the essential requirements is that participants must be comfortable being featured in her content, although they can choose to remain anonymous if preferred.
Annie’s project has drawn significant attention, not only because of its scale but also due to the financial success she’s experiencing. She estimates that her efforts could bring in between $2 million and $2.7 million USD this year.
While her unique approach has garnered a lot of interest, it has also sparked criticism. However, Annie is quick to brush off the negativity, attributing it to jealousy. “A lot of people want to be influencers or famous, and they can’t imagine doing what we do. It’s easier for them to criticize us instead.”
As for those looking to get involved in Annie’s project, she has announced that applications are currently closed until November, as the demand has been overwhelming.
